The action remains high as the series gallops ahead in the fourth installment of the Cage of Lies Saga! Like all the other books in the series, I simply could not put this book down. I absolutely love to see how the numerous characters change and develop, as well as their various relationships to each other. The romance continues strong, but never gets boring, and the plot continues to twist and turn. I simply cannot wait for the fifth and final book to be released!Product details

Bound Sometimes fighting isn't a choice Cage of Lies Book 4 edition by Susanne Valenti Children eBooks Reviews
This book is not standalone and if you are not caught up with the series then you are in for some serious spoilers if you read this out of turn.
29552324So I will admit I have been waiting for this book after the mind blowing cliff hanger of book 3. (I still need to get caught up with Embers which I believe fits in between 3 and 4) Once again it was action packed and filled with danger. The story picks up right where the last leaves off. Maya has found Coal alive, but now they need to find a way to escape from Warden custody. The rest of the group has reached Madison, only to realize that Maya is missing. Alicia and Taylor go back for her, while the others plan to defend against the advancing Wardens. Along the way Livi has discovered a backdoor into Warden tech that allows her to hack into their systems. Suddenly, infiltrating The City to free Maya’s parents is viable plan once again.
Though I have to admit I was as antsy as Maya during their enforced wait for Livi, this book still delivered the action in a big way with quick paced and raw action that pushed boundaries. The girls versus boys showdown bordered on hilarity while the escape from and final battle with the creepers was breathtaking.
There weren’t many new characters, however the core team has been fleshed and have some added facets. Alicia and Hunter aren’t so unapproachable anymore, Maya seems to be settling down and Luca might not be all that bad. Crystal still seems like a loose end and Coal is as unreadable as ever, but then he has just been through hell.
One would think that by now I would be used the instant ending cliffhanger, but I have to admit it got me again. I tried turning the page several times before I realized that once again the story is over. I am looking forward to the next book. I am dying to meet Maya’s parents!
I also absolutely love the new covers!!

**Do not proceed if you haven't read book 3 or 3.5 because of possible spoilers.**
Bound picked up from the very point where Broken left off. Maya is overjoyed to find Coal alive but they are both prisoners to the wardens. They devise a plan to escape but numerous hurdles keep coming their way. Will they be able to escape? Even if they did, will they be able to face what lied ahead?
One of the things that I like most about Susanne's writing is how she depicts her action sequences. They are detailed and vividly portrayed, they manage to produce a cinematic effect in my mind which makes those scenes throughly entertaining. We get to see a lot of action in this book, Maya trying to find a way to escape, their ultimate face off with the creepers and various other situations as well. They were perfectly executed. But it did feel it was a bit dragging in the middle section of the book, otherwise I have no complains. I especially liked the face off between the girls and the men at the camp, it was totally fun and the girls kicked their asses! I was glad to see a conclusion with the creepers as well, atleast I think that was a conclusion... or not? Oh well, have to read the next book to find out.
The characters were as awsome as ever! I love Maya's character. She is brave, strong and a kickass protagonist. I loved that she cared about each and every one of her friends. I was so glad to have Coal back but I don't know, I felt a little disconnected with him. But nonetheless I loved their romance. They had so much catching up to do... And is there something brewing between Alicia and Taylor? Oh, I definitely hope so!! As usual, I completely loved Alicia, she is fiercely loyal and a great friend. Surprisingly, I liked Taylor as well, not that I hated him but I was glad he understood his actual feelings. There were so many great moments in this book, though some nearly gave me a heart attack. Nonetheless, I was satisfied.
Overall, Bound was another great read in the Cage of Lies series. The plot was neatly executed and the I loved all the characters. Well except those creepy creepers, not that they count as characters anyway! The writing was simple and easy to read and the pace was fast throughout the book. I can't believe there's only one more book left, I seriously can't wait to read the stunning conclusion to this series!
Recommend it?
Yes.
A meandering story that bounces from cliffhanger to cliffhanger and squeezes every dollar the author thinks she can take from readers. If I had known the price of the tale up front, I doubt that I would have started the journey. Lots of fight scenes, haphazard romance, much drama that feels like filler. I will not stay on this merry-go-round much longer.
Awesome pace! Love that the book keeps to the same level of suspense and excitement as the previous ones. Excellent read) It's like a movie in my head !
Love this series but come on! I really really hate cliff hangers like this! I binge read all the books in this series not realizing there is still lord knows how many more that have not been released. I hate waiting! 4 stars is for the abysmal cliff hanger that leaves you going really? Your seriously ending there?
The action remains high as the series gallops ahead in the fourth installment of the Cage of Lies Saga! Like all the other books in the series, I simply could not put this book down. I absolutely love to see how the numerous characters change and develop, as well as their various relationships to each other. The romance continues strong, but never gets boring, and the plot continues to twist and turn. I simply cannot wait for the fifth and final book to be released!
