Once again London Casey and her Back Down Devil MC crew just set the town on fire!This is the story of Duke and Belle. They knew each other from childhood when Duke and her brother Jim teased and tormented her. Then Duke and Belle became a couple up until the time Duke and Jim went into the service together. But things didn't go smoothly for Duke and Jim once they returned Stateside. Jim lost a leg trying to safe all the men, and Duke pulled Jim out knowing the last man inside the vehicle was already gone.
Duke came back as a hero, something that he felt nothing like at all. He missed the funeral of Big Jim, Belle and Jim's father who was so good to Duke since he was a kid. Duke drifted until he became a member of BDD MC, and found the family he thought he would never have again, and left Belle and Jim behind.
Jim slid into the bottle and the darkness of knowing that one of the men in his until died and he didn't save him. Jim lived but the guy with a wife and 2 kids didn't. Belle was trying to finish nursing school, but ended up taking care of their father until he died, and then Jim. One night Jim took some pills, and Belle was frantic he was trying to kill himself. He didn't care anymore how his part of the house looked or how he looked himself, and this worried Belle. She didn't know what else to do but call Duke. She surprised herself by calling Duke, but she was angry at Jim, and Duke too. She was shocked to see how different and fantastic Duke now looked, and knew right then and there she never stopped loving him even when he walked away without a word.
Big Jim bought up all the land around their house, and added an addition to the house suite to Jim's injury before he died. All the land went to both Belle and Jim, and Jim made a huge error by selling a piece of land to some guy in a suit, who was representing a rival MC, Hell Five. The Hell Five had already got the jump on BDD MC, and stole a lot of money that belonged to the Russian mob boss, Ivan.
You just have to read this book to enjoy every moment! Another big hit by London Casey!!! Hope there are more stories coming from this MC!!! Just one little thing, not being picky, but one more editorial pass might have been a great idea for this book! There were some words missing, too many words, wrong words, etc. that stopped this from being perfect like the story line!
The plot thickens, and Duke and Belle find themselves jumping each other every chance they got. The BDD MC had to figure out how to pay Ivan back, get that land deal stopped, and shut the Hell Five down for good, and make sure Jim and Maggie got together too. It was a tall order, but never have those hunky guys from BDD MC been more together, and more dangerous!

Wow.. This story was beautiful and heart breaking. Not sure were to start. We finally get the reasons behind Duke's struggling past. His first and only love Belle is the h and her brother Jim is also part of Duke's past. Duke was Jim's best friend they grew up together, raised hell together and went to war together. Both of them came back broken but Jim came back alittle more broken. Duke walked out of both Jim and Belle's life once he was a civilian again. He joined Back Down Devil MC and found his second family. He held on to all his guilt and left his second family to have a better life or so he thought. Jim struggles with his demons and Belle gave up her life to take care of her brother. Belle reaches a breaking point and calls Duke the love of her life who broke her heart. She needs help with her brother and she figured Duke would be the one to break thru Jim's demons so he could start living again. Well Duke shows up and it's the beginning of some hell and some heaven. Duke, Belle and Jim will have to face their demons, past and the dangers lurking around the corner. They will come to realize what's important and who is really family. Casey did a wonderful job with this story . I wanted to punch Duke many times...but I also fell in love with his character. He is an Outlaw and proud of it. After the dust settles will Duke and Belle get their HEA ? Will Jim put down the bottle to join the land of the living ? Well if you haven't yet read OWNED & UNTAMED I suggest you give it a try you won't be disappointed. Happy Reading!!
This is just another reason why London Casey is the Queen of the MC Romance books. She takes a story line and writes it so that the main characters and the minor characters all have an important part in her books. It makes the story so much more enjoyable and heart felt. Plus, it makes sure that you are so absorbed in the book you can feel every emotion in the book. You are going to laugh, cry, scream, get pissed, and then you will also fall in love and just melt into the love scenes with the characters. This book is AMAZING! Trust me when I say you will not want to put it down. This book is recommended for mature readers 18 years of the adult themes in the book.
This book really gets into the past of Duke a member of the Back Down Devil MC. We learn about the demons that he has been carrying around since he returned from war. Not to mention one of his brothers Trent is married to a woman who tried to kill him. That is another thing in his past that he has to deal with, but it puts him and Trent at odds because Duke doesn’t trust Trent’s wife. After getting back to the club from a run that resulted in the loss of their Russian counterpart’s money, and Duke being shot not only in the ambush by their rival MC group Hell Five and then by the Russian leader, Duke is in his room trying to deal with the emotions of the day and then he gets the phone call. The phone call is from the one person he never expected to hear from again, Belle. He was so shocked he dropped his phone. Once he picked up the phone Belle is calling to tell him that her brother Jim (Duke’s best friend who lost a leg in the Vietnam war) is in a bad way and she needs Duke to come help her with him. She thinks that Jim is trying to kill himself. Duke couldn’t believe that he was talking to her. He had left her in order for her to have a better life than he could give her. Belle deserved better, but she was the only woman he ever loved. And now according to Belle his best friend Jim has given up on life and she feels I am the only one who can save him. Then Jim starts making deals with the Hell Five MC, enemies of the Back Down Devils MC. Now he has to find a way to protect them all, and the only way to keep Belle safe is to keep her close to him. Can Duke find a way to save Jim and Belle both? Or will he have to sacrifice one of them? Will he lose his family the Back Down Devils MC trying to protect both Belle and Jim?
